Job 28:28 because it is such a condensed version of all the doctrines of the Bible. I have meditated on this verse for years.

John 10:30

Well of course, John 3:16.

But, also the one when Jesus kept trying to teach his disciples to forgive other people. They just didn't get it, so Jesus finally warned them;

"If you do not forgive others, your father in Heaven will not forgive you."

(That is the clearest verse in the Bible, yet, it is the most difficult thing to do (for me). I suppose that is the reason that Jesus said we must be born again (into a new harmony-loving personality and justice system). A justice system that will not allow us to hold a grudge or seek revenge when someone hurts us.

Jesus wept. John 11:35

I find this one so amazing because it's pretty clear from what He said to the disciples before He went to Bethany to raise Lazarus from the dead that He knew what had happened and what He was going to do about it. So even though He knew the story would have an happy ending He shared the sorrow of Mary and Martha and grieved with them.

It touches me deeply that He so closely identifies with what we're feeling at the time....even when He knows that it's going to turn out well in the end.

Why:He's so powerful.
John 3:16 for God so loved the world that he gave us his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have eternal life
Why: because he is so merciful to save us

The most amazing verse to me is that God would send His Son to Earth for my (our) sake.

(God's Word literally wrapped in flesh.)
