women bikes are designed to allow the riders' choice of clothing, the clearance from the frame is only a side benefit.

I ride a girls bike. I rode my friend's teenage brother's bike once when I was 12. We were out in the woods and as I cycled over the brow of a hill the bike jerked and I slid onto the crossbar and travelled like that all the way down the hill. I couldn't breathe it hurt so frikkin much. Not too keen on them since then!

My partner rides a men's bike, (she is 30). But to be honest, the design of most of the Mountain bikes these days means the top tube is nowhere near as dangerous as it used to be, most slope down towards the seat tube. I would almost go as far as to say most mountain bikes are unisex.

Lol, Jay has a good point ...

There really is no advantage to riding a girls bike. It used to be that women rode in dresses and skirts. In these years, you needed a women's style bike to not get the dress caught up on the bar. These days people ride women's bikes because it is what they are comfortable with. In reality, it is really men who need protection from the bar, right??

I buy my bikes used and I like roadbikes. I don't think I ever seen a good roadbike without a crossbar, so that's why I ride one with. I don't think woman's racing bikes without crossbar exist. Though I really couldn't care less. Why would anyone care?
Nowadays bikes are basically unisex anyway.

mens bike just look better. if a girl knows how to ride a bike properly, then you wont have to worry about hitting the top tube (no offense to anyone). you just need to know how to mount and dismount the right way. mens bike are more common in stores anyway. they usually have better parts. you dont see a lot of high performance ladies bikes, with the exception of ladies road bikes.
the low tubes on ladies bike are made more for people who ride casually, or for people who have disorders (hip, knee problems etc.). if you really like to ride, then a mens bike is the way to go.

hey, if you smack your crotch on the top tube, it's going to hurt like hell no matter what kind of equipment you pack between your thighs.

The "men's" bike was the original design, and is much more structurally sound than te "womens" frames. The womens bike was created by chauvinist pigs who didn't think women should wear anything but dresses, and thought it "un-lady-like" to swing her leg over a top tube.

Get over the fear of the top tube. If it bothers you that much, try riding a recumbent.

because the hymen is a tender little bit of tissue and surely tears- basic such issues as placing a tampon [imagine in case you had to have sex earlier with the ability to apply a tampon!], alluring in events, using a bike or [distinctly] an harm to her privates can tear the hymen. using the hymen as a decide if a woman is a virgin or no longer is ridiculous. that is somewhat undemanding to tear and that i'd advise believing this woman. She herself isn't even certain if it really is damaged or no longer- and the blood is a trademark that something has torn. it really is not any longer sheet metallic- it really is skinny and surely damaged. imagine about it, countless women use tampons years earlier having sex. If their hymen wasn't damaged- they would not be able to insert a tampon. The hymen has to have some type of tear to allow era blood get away. i'd have self belief this woman IS a virgin from her saying she IS a virgin- no longer because of her hymen. someone isn't a virgin at the same time as they have consented to have sex. someone is a virgin regardless of their hymen being torn, there, lacking etc and is purely now no longer a virgin in the journey that they consent to sex.

As Mad Monkey says, the mans frame is more sound(stronger shape). After all, it doesn't have an open side, which would make it more flexible. Also in agreement with other comments. It's the man's nether parts that are more easily damaged.
