Liberal Democrat appeasement. They think if we give away the bank and cater to other countries in such ways that they will like us and want to be our friends.

If you are talking about all the crap that is put in Wheat Glut., and causing that ban on so much animal foods (and now human foods as well). The reason for that is that it is far cheaper to grow the crap there, and import it here.
If you are talking about fruits and vegetables, much of the stuff you buy in the stores has it's own "growing season", so if you want to get a specific item that is not in season then it would not be uncommon to get it from another country (ie: grapes from Peru OR oranges from Spain OR cheese from California (I consider them a country all to themselves) OR Olives from Greece).

Great question! I was just asking myself that Q this morning. China exports grain to the US for chickens and cows. The same ingredient that was in the pet food has been found in the food for US livestock. The news says "There is no immediate danger." GOOD GRIEF!!

It's cheaper than buying from our own farmers. Our system is all screwed up. Now we are bringing in dangerous uninspected food and our own farmers are barely getting by. Throw the greedy Repubs out. Vote Dem in the next election.
