different dogs dont just magically "appear". All breeds are bred from other breeds and it takes generations. like evolution, it takes time until breeders are satisfied with certain physical qualities that they know will replicate with the next litter.

then its announced as a pure breed.... and then some kennel clubs accept, while others dont.

jack russels originate from England in 1795 where they were bred from a single dog chosen for looks, stamina and courage - her name was Trump..
a hundred years later the name given to different types of working terriers was "jack russell" and it went from there...

today, some clubs recognise a jack russel as a single pure breed, others divide them up.... it just depends on the club.
