My nephew went from 30% to 20% in about 3 months. He was not going for speed, it was just the effect of better diet, regular exercise, and he stopped putting down 3/4 liter of rum and 2 six packs of beer every week. He lifted weight a lot, so he gained muscle at the same time. His total weight loss was only about 12 lbs.
A pound of fat is about 3500 calories, and a 500 calorie workout is pretty vigorous, but not impossible on a daily basis. It depends on what you weigh. 10% for a 200 lb guy is 20 lbs of fat, about 20 weeks. 10% for a 100 lb girl is just 10 lbs, but harder to burn 500 calories a day. Maybe 12 weeks. And as you exercise, you will gain muscle, so the percent change will be affected by that, and speed up the resulting change in proportion of fat to total body weight.

First, do not fall for any "diets" or pills that promise weight-loss without effort. You are going to have to put in some effort to lose weight. You should use a program, such as Body For Life, that uses a combination of better nutrition, aerobic exercise, and weight training. Don't worry that you will look like a body-builder if you do weights (unless you want that), the weight training is more for toning and building a little bit of muscle-mass, which will make your body burn calories more efficiently.

there is no way to even accurately determine that. if 10% body fat will be a new low body fat % for you it will always take longer to get there than if you have been there before in the not so distant past. the longer that a person has been overweight the more the body will resist change.

It will likely take a long time. Stop noticing how long it takes - just use all your energy to work on your health and fitness. No more junk food - including fast food - it's all garbage.
Eat right and get plenty of exercise, including weight training. Your body will turn into what it was meant to be.

impossible 10%, the only reason bodybuilders say 10% because you have to remember a percentage ( a ratio ), so they may still have the same amount of fat in their body as you per height, the only reason it comes out to lower percent body fat is because of ratio of fat to muscle, they have more muscle from taking steroids, but probably still have same amount of fat as you, just more muscle not less fat giving a perceived lower percentage overall bodyfat appearance calculation, they also got messed up liver from steroids which will never go away and may not show symptoms till older and decades later like Hepatitis C, stay at your healthy weight and eat healthy like Olympic athletes, i see in medical journals all the time pictures of bodybuilders jaundice and showing signs of liver damage from drug induced hepatitis from steroids or other anabolics, that is also why illegal in Olympics will mess you up and your organs and liver unnatural hormone imbalance
