for the most part the greater the BAC the greater the decrease in test levels there will be. so the more alcohol that is consumed the greater the negative impact on training as it will obviously effect both muscle and/or strength gains and fat loss

no rule of thumb, depends on what you drink, if it is alcohol, count on negating any benefit you gained from working out.
