I get irratated at the saying ," he is only a friend" and he is single. Is it not true that a single man in only friends with a woman to get in her pants. Then deny they ever do. I just do not understand why girls and guys do that "just friend" BS.

Of course men can just be friends with women. The trouble is a lot of people like to think the worst of everyone, and then judge them by what they would do themselves. Could you just have a woman as a friend? I don't think so because it seems you really don't know what friendship is about. Unfortunately many men say that they only want to be "friends", when in fact, as you say, they only want to pork the fork. Life is a hard lesson, and finding true friends and friendships is a monumental task in itself.

I see your point, and agree to an extent. However, it IS possible to be just friends. I'm single and my best friend (for over 15 years) is a beautiful female. We have fooled around in the distant past and would probably do it again if she were not married. Either way, I would never give up our frienship. She is like a sister to me.

Single guys can be friends with women. When I was single must of my friends were women and i never once tried to get into there pants. p.s my g/f now isn't one of those friends.

I admit, that they are allways attractive, and of course if you know them for long, how do they think, how do they feel, it just cannot be otherway.
But I aprecciate that friendship, and i always keep that little distance, even if most provoking situations.
Well, I fell once, but we stopped in the middle, and now we remember that as a joke :)
I remember in "Friends" Ross almost hhad sex with the author of "smelly cat" :) but nothing turned out.

I don't think that's just limited to single men either. It's difficult (although probably NOT impossible) for men and women to be just platonic friends.

This was illustrated in the movie "When Harry Met Sally."

Because they think their living right ,guy's usually say this coz they don't wanna get married hanging around and doing things for free is a better option no promises involved no sadness if he leaves life is so simple for these idiots ,they think this is called fun but in other hands it's sick

okay well like everyone has the right to be friends.
it's not a crime.
and sometimes they may be just friends.
there doesn't have to be an attraction.
friendship is important and sometimes being good friends with opposite sex is better.
