Can anybody please tell me what are differences between
these 2 software! If possible, a comparison please.
I have installed Mozilla Firefox in my PC with XP. I have
recently upgraded to Internet Explorer 7 and found that
the speed has improved considerably. Thanks.

Mozilla Firefox is a web browser.

Mozilla Thunderbird is an email client.

Firefox is to Internet Explorer what Thunderbird is to Outlook Express.

Firefox is an internet browser (like Internet Explorer). Thunderbird is Mozilla's e-mail client program (like Outlook Express).

Until IE7 came along I always used Firefox in preference to Internet Explorer because it was less prone to errors, freezing, and various other problems, and most importantly it had the facility to open multiple tabbed web pages in one window. Now IE7 has caught up and has tabbed browsing. It also appears to work well in many other respects, so I'm now using it, but have kept Firefox on my system as a "backup".

Thunderbird is a good e-mail program, with one exception - it was unreliable re images embedded in the text. It's some time since I used is, so updates might have solved that problem.

Get rid if Internet Explore, it's just gonna bring in unwanted crap into your computer. Get Mozilla Firefox, I have never heard of Thunderbird before, but everyone says Firefox is the best.

Firefox is a web browsing program, just like internet explorer. Thunderbird is an email program, like Microsoft Outlook.

What version of firefox do you have? If you upgrade to version 2 (it was released about the same time as IE7) then I bet it will run faster than IE.

Firefox is a Browser, like IE.

Thunderbird is an Email Client, like Outlook Express.

IE7 may be faster, but the jury is still out on the security issues. Stick with Firefox for all browsing, except for Windows Updates.

Firefox = Browser, Thunderbird = E-mail

It's always good to have a few browsers on your machine though - just in case one fails, and you need to download files to fix it.

I always keep Firefox, IE, and usually an old mozilla as a backup. IE is a p.o.s., but most HTML programmers tend to write specifically for it - so it is a necessary evil for viewing some sites correctly.
