What types of businesses can self-employed painters send their work to? ( Besides advertising and design )

"Sending to"....key words.
A portfolio of your work on "disc" is an easy way to get your work "out there" to businesses you think would have a need for your style of work.
eg, there are companies that rent original art to banks, corporate offices, etc.
Poster art that is easily reproduced may also be a possibility
for direct sale through print shops or distributed by "commercial" decorators.
Not very inspired work but it can help pay the bills.

Try every gallery that has work you like. Print postcards of your best work. Become 'famous' and they will come.
