The only numbers I foud on the gun are 829 H2 VZ24. This gun has not been used much at all. Its been collecting dust for more than 28 years.

That's a Czech Mauser if I'm not mistaken.

Is it a bolt action rifle with two sets of sling swivels, one set under the rifle and one on the left side?

Take a look at these pics and see if this is it. It's likely 8mm Mauser, but could be 7x57 Mauser or as you say, .30-06 if it was owned by Israel, who converted a lot of WWII rifles to .30-06.

The VZ24 was one of the finest military Mausers ever made, because they were made in the 1920s under direct supervision of Mauser and using fine Czech steel and craftmanship at a time when quality mattered (i.e. peacetime)

What Brand is it? It should be marked on the barrel or receiver who manufactured it.... I am looking to buy one, get back to me by E-mail....
