Do you care about what people think of you on this board? Or do you care so much you go to great lengths to attempt to be them? Why do these people claim we're so oppressed, yet on this very board they are the oppressive ones, trying to silent the voices of muslim women who prove them wrong with evidence, facts, and their very presence? Why do they think their opinion matters, when to you they are merely words on a screen that are easily psychoanalyzed? What do the good people (key word: GOOD) think about those who make such claims yet are the ones guilty of doing it?

people who try so hard to bring Muslims down are the people who are so low themselves, they bash Islam and Muslims thinking others will praise them. This comes from low self-esteem and they, themselves are searching for something more than what they have in their religion.
I basically try to ignore them instead of giving them attention. I'm not always successful and I do give in at times but I don't dwell on it. They simply are not worth it
I will continue to live my Islamic life no matter what anyone says

Salaam sister! Haven't talked to you in awhile.

Everyday I'm on this site, my main goal is to change people's nasty opinions for the sake of Allah (swt). There are people who generalize in such an uneducated way, and these are the people who try to find anything, and I mean anything, to blame Islam for. I, you, and the many other faithful Muslims on this forum are the ones trying to stop these false generalizations.

If these people change their opinions and gain knowledge instead of answering based on their beloved media and news, good; If people keep on going with their bigotry, I don't care. As long as I let out what I need to say for the sake of informing them and ofcourse for the sake of Allah (swt), I'm satisfied.

And Allah (swt) knows best.

God forbid there are mean people on the internet

whoopsie

Lesson one on the internet
>> people think its cool to insult other people, to put them down, it gives them a superiority complex, but in truth those who do this often are the biggest losers of all time in real life who spend their entire life in front of a screen trying to gain approval in a fake digitised world

>> this is a western board, where everyone hates Islamic countries, ... they are evil after all, and oppressive, and evil... and don't you forget it... and not to mention "unamerican" "unpatiriotic"

The media is not on your side

>>Its about time people lay of the Jews, we took it for 2000 years, ITS YOUR TIME NOW

>> Fact is that although there are many progressive Islamic sects, many countries that are Islamic are oppressive of women, I search my mind for a Islamic country that gives women the same rights and holds women to and equal standing of men and I can think of none.

Don't get me wrong, I'm friends with a lot of Muslims, they're great, but they live in Australia and are fairly progressive in their beliefs... so they don't really represent the entire Religion.

Yet

Deal with it, its the internet, and the internet is a mean place, the screen names should tip you off

Well I am sure that the intelligent folks on here can tell the difference between you and the clone...unfortunately there are some (I am assuming) newbies and somewhat dense people who probably do mistake you.

To answer your first question. Yes, I do care what people think of me up to a point. One's honor is very important. What you are doing by posting questions (although I notice some folks are giving you a hard time about it) is trying to protect your reputation and show that you are indeed different than the clone. It is honorable.

I think it is disrespectful to try to disproove any one elses belief. Espicially in an arguementive way. I wouldn't listen to my bishop if he started talking bad about another religion. I would go to somebody from that other religion and ask him.

I expect the same respect for my religion. The golden rule .

. In the context of your question you made it impossible to answer as the Bible states there is non that do (good) righteousness but they have all gone astray.
. I really don't care what others think of me as I feel my obligation is to God and what He thinks is; what is important.
. I thought it was against Muslim belief for women to engage in socializing with unbelievers I guess I was mistaken.
. I do think it is wrong to expect respect for Islam as it is a religion with a long history of murder, intolerance, and hatred.

I think many of the things written here about Muslims are disrespectful.

If we have questions, we should ask them courteously so that we might learn better about what others believe.

You flatter yourself honey buns. You ARE being oppressed (by choice, furthermore, if living in a western society or a Secular Asian country) and you defend it!! Then, you muslimas band together like a lone troop of Marines and try and attack the Western women on this board. You all usually use subversive tactics to do it, eluding to your "hijab" as the sole barometer of modesty and decency, and our choice of clothing, no matter if it is long pants and a linen shirt is immodest and whorish.

So, do you think the rest of us "enjoy" these pock shots? I called a truce with you, and I'm not reneging, but I grow weary of seeing you and your troupe attack the rest of society each day. You want tolerance, but you are not willing to reciprocate. You want the whole world to get down for you, while the rest of us are swept aside. It's not suprising, this is what Islam teaches. You all are so brainwashed, that you fail to see other people can be right sometimes too.

You've proven NOTHING to me. NO facts of anything. Yet, time and time again, when people ask YOU, the Band of Muslimas, the simple hard questions, we get canned garbage or a mile long cut and paste filled with more circular logic. Or some lame tirade from a chick in college who is fat and nasty anway, talking about how hijab has "liberated" her, and Islam is so great. Of course! Now she can eat donuts all day, and not keep herself up, and just throw a drape over it all and call it "piety" and "modesty". You expect us to forage on that, and call it the "truth", when it is not. It's all OPINION, and circular logic. That is illogic and nonsensical. The TRUTH is, your prophet molested a 9 year old baby. The TRUTH is, verse 4:34 in the koran states clear as day, you are SUBJECT to a man and he can BEAT you!! The TRUTH is Bukhari said "The main inhabitants of Hell are women...and they are deficient in intelligence and prone to emotions..."

The truth is not in your brainwashed propaganda. You discredit yourself as a woman just be being a Muslim!! You don't need us here poking fun at you to do it further, that's why I stopped honestly. I feel sorry for you all. But, some still do it, and I got to admit, you are easy bait and it's often quite funny.

Furthermore, you'll do well to stop trying to threaten people over the net, and accuse them of things they didn't do and pinging their IP's. This is illegal. And if you work for yahoo, I'm sure putting this info on blast in your tirades and baseless accusations can get you in a world of trouble. Just some kind advice. Please see: http://www.epic.org/
