...........if we post questions in the philosophy section, we cop almost as many cut and paste bible quotes as we get here?

Same thing seems to happen in the science sections and even politics.

If we can't get away from the christians, aren't we better off debating them on this turf anyway, where it's not making a mockery of science or other subjects by putting faith based ideas where they don't belong?

Cut and paste scriptures. Is not science that you quote of cut and paste your knowledge. Like it or not the belief in evolution also is faith in a theory. It can not be proven and neither can carbon dating. You have faith that is how man came to be. Your science is working hard to disprove and in many cases proves what the bible says. Thumbs down this statement all you want. If you are honest and then you would have to agree with this statement. The statement does not say your wrong and I am right, but that all positions are of faith. Science does have it's place but only to a point of fact not theory.

I don't know why Christians do that. I'm glad to see the atheists here otherwise it would just be Christians shining their light at other Christians and there would be no darkness to dispel with the light of God's truth.

Philippians 2:14 Do everything without complaining or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe 16 as you hold out the word of life—in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing.

I don't think the intent ot Yahoo! Answers is a debate forum. If it were, the design would be more like a message board. I think it is pretty clearly designed to ask questions on issues you need an answer to and pick a best answer among those given. If you try to troll for fundies, asking petulent questions and then picking the best answser among the smarmy home team, I can't see what good is coming from it for anyone.

maximum are not terrified of atheists, i'm no longer. a large number of Christians, or so as that they call themselves, are purely ignorant and don't understand what they are talking approximately. they only desire to argue and be judgmental. they are going to be confronted via this. this is incorrect and a thoroughly immature way of drawing near atheists and that i'm getting very pissed off with this human beings. Atheists have heard approximately God, and its their determination on what they desire to have faith. i'm no longer likely to choose them for it, i'm no longer likely to declare advise issues to them for it, i bypass to enable them to stay the way they desire to. besides the indisputable fact that that does no longer advise that in the event that they arrive to me approximately some thing I won't keep my mouth close. If somebody asks my opinion i'm gonna provide it to them ordinary and to the factor. I desire greater Christians would attempt and be advantageous to atheists and be their pal. i admire human beings whether they don't have faith what i've got faith.

Well, i'm Christian and I don't make Bible copypasta. Bible quoting doesn't give an answer anyway.

And yeah, it's better to keep the Religious debates in the Religion section.

I don't question the validity of atheists being in R&S. I rather enjoy it, actually. A lot of what is said causes me to re-assess my faith, firms up my beliefs and gives me a good chuckle from time to time.

What I do question is the validity of their theory that God does not exist...especially when based on the reasoning that there's not quantitative, viable, verifiable PROOF that He exists.

My theory behind that being a "lame" excuse is that - for a great many of us - there are things about our lives that are not verifiable or do not seem viable, yet -they are real and made us who we are today.

I see nothing wrong with atheists and Christians being in the same forum. I like having the opportunity to see what is on their minds and answer some questions. I just don't like it when they put us down. But, Christians should not put them down either. We should all be more tolerant of each other.

Faith belongs everywhere, just as your atheism effects your scientific, political, and in general world view...
You can't get away from Christians just like you cant get away from Atheists...
Christianity like many other religions (or lack of) is a worldview, it is the lens that we see all aspects of the world through.
