i have told people before that i didnt believe in God anymore ever since i was in jail (Tijuana, Mexico) because of the loneliness and pain i had to endure there, i didnt really stopped beleiving in God but i was mad at Him, so thats why i denied him, and also sometimes deep inside of me i doubt of his existence because i havent seen no clues or miracles happen, and also all the suffering that goes around the world shocks me, the war with iraq and no one doing anything about it, im just a teenager so nobody would really listen to me if i tried to stop the war, anyways i do fear God a lot, even though i cannot see God, and i want to have more faith in him, but i dont know how, i smoke marijuana, sniff coke, smoke cigarretes and get drunk, and all at the same time. i also have good things in my life though, a wonderful family and a beautiful girlfriend that i love with all my heart, shes like a treasure for me, i would die of sorrow if something happened to her, i cross my heart on that

What happened to you was not God's fault. God has given us everything - this world, his laws, his Holy Spirit and a superior mind so that we can be happy and live in peace. It is really all up to us.

Why should God solve our problems? Is it God's fault that we are in this situation? What have we done to solve our problem? God is not an instrument to be used to solve our problems. The problem is not with God but with us.
May the Lord's peace be with you!

No, you won't go to Hell. There's no such place. (It's not mentioned once in the Bible).

It's OK to be angry at God sometimes. Lots of people are, usually because they've misunderstood something. The state of the world isn't down to God, it's down to people under the influence of Satan.

I can't tell you how to increase your faith, it's something you feel, but there are ways you can get closer to God. Do you go to church? Have a word with your priest, tell him how you feel. Also please try to cut down on the drink and drugs; apart from what God feels about it, you're not doing your body any good.

Also, try praying. You can do that any time, it doesn't have to be in church or on a Sunday. Just tell God how you feel and ask Him for help.

Remember, God is always with you and will always love you, whatever you do or think. But it's nice to do things to make HIm happy.

Good luck.

The Word of God is the same for everyone.

The Bible is very clear about the salvation. We get saved only by the mercy and grace of God when we accept Him to save us.

Read His Word, the Bible. Ask Holy Spirit to guide you so that you understand what you are reading. Get yourself to a good church where the Bible is the center of teaching and they lead people to a life changing relationship with God.

God is loving but He is not going to save you if you do not want to be saved by Him. You have a choice to make. Sin is never going to be a reason that you are separated from God in eternity..because Jesus died for all of your sins and when you accept Him as your Savior, you will be saved.

There is no shortcuts to a spiritual maturity. Give it time. : )

U might have been in jail but i have done far worse things probably than you.JESUS blood can forgive any sin if u are willing to ask him for forgiveness.

www.fathersloveletter.com please check it out it will help feel u a lot.The war iraq has nothing to do with our faith in GOD.most wont like the recent virginia tech shoot out yet bad things happens. But trust GOD.Its good to fear GOD.Seek him diligently u will find him.

The bible says he came to his own but they rejected him.

But if u believe all things all possible.JESUS loves you and whats to help you and comfort the pain u went in jail.

read John 3:16 .GOD sent his son JESUS so when we believe in JESUS we have eternal life.JESUS lived a sinless life and gave up his life as a sacrifice so we can be sin free. Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and
cleanse ur past with his blood.

With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.JESUS loves u and wants u to be saved.

I don't think you will go to hell. I don't believe in heaven or hell. In my mind it's all made up by churches (no matter what faith) and humans to control us and our actions. I was brought up with the church and I consciously decided against it when I became and adult and I haven't regretted it. I do believe in God but I do prefer not to have a mediator between me and my faith, like a priest. I can see though how the church can help people in their lives and therefore I also don't condemn the church. for me it just doesn't work.
I also think that it is not god who lets us suffer - we do it to ourselves. We are the ones who start the wars, we are the ones who don't share food or medicine. We are the ones who hate each other. You are probably right that you alone wont change the war, but you can add your voice to the other voices against it if you wish and do your little part to stop it.
Keep your head up, like you said you have lots to be happy about and grateful.

I'm not a Holy Roller or anything like that. In fact I don't even go to church or pray that much, but I can answer you question.

He is real. He doesn't do "amazing" "prove it to me" miracles anymore like he did thousands of years ago. The Bible said he won't do "prove it to me" miracles any more. You have to just believe out of faith.

But, there are miracles that happen every day, sometimes to you, but most people don't even recognize them as miracles. The fact that you have a girlfriend you love with all of your heart is a gift right?

Another thing is that you apparently believe in Hell... why would you not believe in God?

If you're a pot smokin, coke doin, alcohol drinking person, but you're worried about going to Hell... then you have a conscience. Your conscience is your link to God.

If you die at any point and have denied God you will go to Hell. And that's the way it goes. It's never, never to late to ask His forgiveness for denying Him.

I denied God when I was a teenager too. I was doing acid, coke, crystal, pot, alcohol, stealing, and hanging out with the wrong people. I ended up homeless for about 8 months... sleeping on the street. I had a lot of fun partying, but I hit rock bottom.

My grandparents never went to church except for weddings. They don't like to talk religion at all. But, they are the nicest, most good hearted people I've ever met in my entire life. Good morals, good ethics. Though they are not religious they are more likely to go to Heaven than people who are church twice a week.

I never did quit cigarettes and I do drink and smoke marijauna on occasion, but I cleaned my life up. I'm a family man with a good career that I've been at for almost 9 years. I have good morals and good ethics. I try not to step on toes. I have a talk on my own with God every now and then, so I do have a private relationship with him.

You will (hopefully) outgrow at least the coke. Try to quit cigarettes if you can. Grow up at some point and stop the partying. You don't have to go to church to have a relationship with God. Just believe in Him. Be a good person and have faith that He will be there for you when you need Him.

Bad things happen to everyone, good or bad people. You cannot denounce God everytime something bad happens. Hang in there. Life is tough. Especially now days. Good luck man.

If there is anything I could do for anyone in my entire life it would be to save at least one person... to steer them in the right direction... I would die happy if, because of me, someone would go to Heaven, even if I had to give them my spot and I had to go to Hell. That has always been my dream.

Isn't it amasing that Jesus would make Peter the leader apostle of the church someone who denied he ever knew Jesus three times, even with a curse on himself. We should take our sins seriously but not be overly absorbed.. find forgiveness... get it out of the way so you can enjoy a relationship with God

I recommend a book called "What to do when you don't desire God" http://www.desiringgod.org

im not religious person myself.
but i do have a fear of God in me, therefore i must have faith that there is someone or something.
and from what you have written i can see that you too have a fear of God.
so by thinking these things you must surely have faith also?
i woudnt worry too much about going to hell.
God apparently has reason for everything he does, i myself cannot see a single reason why any of the suffering in the world should carry on but im sure theres an explanation for it somewhere!
good luck

So you can be a loving person and care for others, all without God.
Why did you say you needed him?
...
Ahhh, because some old dudes told you you'd end up bad if you didn't. How did they know?
From some even older dudes who are dead and buried.
Stop the snorting, sniffing, drinking and smoking and keep loving your family and friends. Then you're an ok person in my book.
I may not be God, but I'm also a nice person... ;)

Denying God is serious, but pray and ask for forgiveness. God can forgive all things you have done wrong or bad. I highly suggest reading the bible - start with matthew. That might help with your faith.
