We live in the midwest but anywhere in the US is fine. Our families would just like to avoid having to obtain passports, taking several days off of work, or taking long plane rides to attend our wedding.
The location should also be reasonably priced since we are paying for the wedding ourselved. :-)

This is a fantastic place for a wedding in the Continental US.
It's in Florida but it's more upscale than you'll find at other Florida sites.
Good luck and Congratulations

Destin, FL. The beaches there are beautiful. Destin is in the panhandle of Florida, in the area of Panama City and Pensacola. The beaches there are not crowded then (Jan. or Feb.) because it is the off season, the scenery will still be absolutely beautiful though!! It usually doesn't rain in Jan. or Feb. either. It might be a little chilly there then, but you will be there to get married not swim.
There are plenty of houses, condos or hotels to rent. Some of the hotel/condo/suite places have hot tubs and/or heated pools.

I called Mallard's Marsh and they are not very good at returning phone calls, they were also pretty rude to me. I ended up booking to go to Perdido Key, FL with a company called www.dreamscometruebeachweddings.com They have pretty reasonable packages. There are alot of those companies in Florida. If you go to www.barefootbeachweddings.com they have a list of alot of wedding places. Good Luck!!

We are having ours at Mallards Marsh with the wedding on the beach.
Peak season vacation homes there are $3000+ per week. Of course in the off season they are less than $1000 per week.

If you wait until March or April, Wrightsville Beach, NC is a popular wedding spot....it is absolutely gorgeous.

Either church or small hotel Invite only nearest relatives and save money which can be utilized in rainy days.
