How to convert *.gvi files (google video) *.flv (flash video files) to video formats *.avi or *.mpeg or *.wmv files ?

I wish to make VCDs. I have downloaded some videos from video.google.com which are in *.gvi files and *.flv files formats and I wish to make VCD of these videos
