OK the Big 3 means upgrading 3 basic things to have more power on your car electrical system. The first upgrade is to replace the alternator with a bigger one. Second, replace the battery with a more powerful one. And third replace the alternator-battery power wires with a 1/0 AWG wire. But If the total amount of power of your car isn't around 1000w rms, then you shouldn't do the big 3. I'm assuming that the power of your amp is 250 rms if that the case there's no need for you to do the upgrade.

Okay, the "Big 3" in car audio terms means upgrading three different WIRES.

--The wire between the positive battery terminal and the positive alternator output
--The wire between the negative battery terminal and the vehicle chassis
--The wire between the engine block and the vehicle chassis.

All these connections should already be in place with the factory wiring; the theory is that factory wiring is typically too small for the demands of a high-powered after-market audio system. You don't necessarily have to disconnect or remove the factory wiring; it may be easier just to add your own wiring in addition to the factory wire.

If you look you should be able to identify the factory wire runs and get some idea how you can upgrade them.
