Bad.
You need to eat a reasonable amount from all of the food groups to ensure that you have the required nutrients.
There is no carbohydrate in this 'diet'.
What most people don't know, is that a drastic diet change (reduction of more than 20 % caloric intake) sends a message to the body to CONSERVE. This means that instead of loosing weight, the person puts on weight. And they wonder, "But I'm eating so much LESS !".
And too much protein is bad for the kidneys.

This is a diet set up to fail.
You may do this for a couple weeks but then you will stop. Can you see doing this 5 years from now? If not do not even start.
Lose the meat at breakfast and lunch.
Lose the grapefruit juice at every meal and just drink water or any 100% juice
Eat MUCH more fish
Vegetable cooked in BUTTER??? yeah get rid of the butter, steam the vegi's.
This is a very poor meal plan. It has very little vitamins and minerals. You need variety to get more vitamins.

ok this is the diet refered to as the "mayo clinic diet" which has nothing to do with the Mayo Clinic itself but anyway.. I do this diet on and off and it does work if you follow it completly and truthfully.. I lost 42 pounds in 3 months and i wasnt following it completly because i dont like the veggies i was allowed, my step mother lost 75 in alittle over 3 months. Just make sure you drink alot of water because you can get dehydrated easily if you dont. I get the feeling that alot of the people answering this question have never heard of this diet because of the answers about the fat content. You want the fat (like on the bacon) because when you add grapefruit it speeds up the metabolism and it all burns up quickly. If your looking for a long term diet I wouldnt suggest this because ur body gets used to it and it stops working but for a few months or a few pounds lost.. if you can stand the grapefruit go for it!

Oh properly, I drink about 5 cans an afternoon and that i'm effective. i imagine that ingesting something carbonated isn't solid for the teeth (which include carbonated water) despite the indisputable fact that it truly is truly extra helpful than ingesting Fanta or Sprite or perhaps diluting orange because it don't have sugar. i imagine the caffeine free one (gold can) is likewise solid and that i do not word any flavor distinction. in case you in basic terms like the flavor of genuine coke then the 0 one is solid (black can). as long as you drink some water as well and do not in basic terms get your liquid from eating routine coke and characteristic a healthful eating routine i do not imagine you've something to rigidity about.

i feel you should cut out the dressing[most dressings are full of calories] cut fat off bacon and meat is much too much[should be less amount of lean meat.also too many eggs [two a week is recommended]and fish or meat cooked any way makes me shudder[grilled or broiled] not fried.other wise all seems well.

Maybe you should take out that bacon and eggs, bacon has fat! Maybe cereals would do. But the rest are allrite
