I have an headache and neck ache for about a week now.. and I always feel sleepy/drowsy but Im not sleepy.. like you have that sensation of being sleepy but you cant sleep when you actually lay in bed. Well, My sleeping time has increased since the first time I felt the headache and drowsiness a week ago.

I had this a few months ago, i got checked out (CT SCAN) and found nothing in my head. A week later after that test, I have gotten fine so I canceled an appointment with a neurologist.

I just want to know if anybody else has the same experience that Im having. Headache and sleepiness. This is the 2nd time I have gottent this thing and Im not sure if I should go to the doctor again tomorrow.

I awake everyday with this feeling and it goes through the whole day.

I had this before and it fixed itself with time. Now is a bit different, i feel like its gonna last longer. I dont want to waste time and money on going to the doctor again with the same result as the last time (found nothing on my head)... so im hoping that some people in here would have an idea about it.

When lying in bed, certain pillow positions makes it all better but doesnt really take the feeling away.

Its not pain really, its more like my head in inflammed or something. My neck feels weird too (like having a highblood pressure or something after eating fatty food).. but it stays like that for a very long time.

massaging my shoulder sometimes help ease the feeling too..

It sounds like you have what is called a cervicogenic headache. It is very typical based on your symptomology. It usually starts with a misalignment in your upper cervical spine (just underneath the back of your skull). Very common symptoms are headache, blurry vision, feeling of "just-not-all-there", and drowsiness. The neurology behind this is relatively simple. Your best, most cost-effective approach is to go to a chiropractor who is trained specifically to deal with this sort of issue. If it turns out to be something else, he/she will know your next best step to take.
If you tell me what city you live in, I might be able to refer you to a chiropractor in your area.

Have you checked your pillow position often if the neck is not comfortable blood vessels and nerves can be trapped . Did you awake with it the first time . I hope it is not causing you to lose sleep . Do you awake with it everyday?

Is it possible that you are undergoing nervous exhuastion ?
The doctor will give you something to relax .
I would advice that you see a homeopath as they have a far greater array of consituitional remedys that suit particlar headace and nerve conditions In the maentime lok at ABC Homeopathy .com on the internet that may give you a remedy

Hey, I know how you feel. I get migraines several times a month. I would go and see the neurologist.
I had an episode of one side of me being numb, and didn't really think anything of it till I saw the news and they where talking about strokes. It got me concerned so I told someone. Then it happened again. I got rushed to ER and found out I have hemiplegic migraines. So, I would make and keep going. Let the Dr. know all of the symptoms.

Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at
