This is the best answer. You can use a line output converter to change the high level speaker signal from the radio to convert it to low level pre amp signals (RCA). This apply only if the stock radio don't have pre amp outputs (RCA outputs). But using the converter add noise and distortion to the system since also they have and independent ground connection which create another loop which ends in noise. The best thing to do is get an amplifier with high level speaker signal input and that way connect directly the speaker of the radio to the amplifier since many amps have built in crossover you can adjust the bass , treble, mid .

Actually, what you need is called a "line-output converter". It's a device that connects to your speaker wiring and produces a low-level signal that can be sent to the amplifier using RCA cables. A very good one for the price can be found on this page (scroll down to the N-774V if you're using it with a 4-channel amp, or the NE-7V for a 2-channel or mono amp) http://www.autosound2000.com/adaptor_products.htm

Note for the answer below: most good quality line-out converters use transformers, and a ground connection is not necessary. I've had fewer noise problems with line-out converters than with standard head unit pre-outs. However, it's true that an amplifier with speaker-level inputs will allow you to connect the amp to factory wiring without a converter.

I very own the Pioneer DEH-P9 and DEQ-P9. This remained in production for roughly 10 years, unchanged. Connection between the proc replaced into via a fiber optic cable. amazing administration over 8 channels. it is now been replaced via a single unit with same good factors, now with a setup mic. however, I think of handbook tuning is mandatory besides. locate it on pioneer's internet site, acquire the operation handbook, and study what this stunning piece of equipment can do.
