Don't do it. You'll regret it so bad one day.

don't worrie what others are saying about getting a tattoo is a bad idea. he was in your life for two years. you could of had a future together. and with all due respect, if and when you are ready to have another boyfriend he should be loyal to you enough to respect your past and respect the fact that you once loved another.
I suggest getting the claddagh with his name across it.
Good luck to you.

Stick with the symbol of your love. Do not do his name. Do not have a picture (photo) of him done on you either. And you may want to keep it small 2-3 inches long or diameter. This way if one day you when need to cover your tatoo for work in the cooporate world it can be done easily.

Don't
Don't create something that will remind you of him on a permanently base, like a tatoo or a shrine at home, It is cruel to loose someone that young and early, but life goes on, and you must get over it, you will never forget of course, and you should keep it at that.Peoples who are creating a permanent reminder are having serious problems trying to get over her/his loss, and constantly grieving and mourning.

Every tattoo has a special meaning so I think the claddagh would be good or maybe a celtic cross. I'm so sorry for your loss.

No not at all Scooter, I assume you met this dear someone here, and what happened in your connection was a growing, and communicating beyond here. I have to believe there was some mutual enjoyment, but "slowly" is the process and I doubt you will be less thought of in the doing.

sure as long as you've already considered the down sides of getting a tattoo at all, i just wouldnt put his name on it.. another guys name on you could be a turn off for other guys you will like in the future.. despite the conditions.. also if u fall madly in love with another guy deeply despite your boyfriends death your love for him may seem slightly insignificant an make the tattoo seem stupid to u

Sorry to hear it. That stinks. :-(

I would suggest you wait a year- think about it, find a good tattoo artist and find just the right symbol or picture.

Good luck, and you have my sympathies.

I think just his initials somewhere fairly concealed is safe, modest, respectable. Especially if you are concerned about the visibility of tattoos and the effect this has on job interviews and such.

a tattoo in memory should come from your heart, not someone else's mind. that's my opinion anyway.
