I have been going out with a guy for 3 weeks and seeing him twice a week. We get along well so I asked him how long has his longest relationship been, he said 3 months (he has committment issues). We anyway he came over on Monday night and stayed over. We fooled around but did not have sex so I asked when would be right. He said he didn't just want to jump into bed with me (wants to get to know me) and that we should do it when it feels right. Now I am wondering if his longest relationship only last 3 months why does he want to wait, do you think he might be thinking more long term with me?

I'm 27 and he is 25. I guess I am wondering about things because was in a two year relationship with a guy and that I waited for 3 months and he was a liar. So I guess I'm just worrying prematurely about his motives. I would prefer to wait also. I've only been with one other person and that was the ex.

Well, I would hope that he thought long term with the others too. I think he is being smart trying to develop your relationship based on stuff other than sex. If you all really like each other you will be glad that you provided a good foundation to your relationship before you have sex. If you all are fooling around he obviously wants sex; he just is able to control himself. I am wondering how old you all are? Well, in any case just relax, it sounds like you all are off to a great start!

Guys hate it when women judge them based on any past experience the guy may have told you about. That's one reason men don't tell women stuff about past gfs. You've only dated this guy for 3 weeks, and you think he has a prob cause his last relationship only lasted 3 months. If you want this to last, don't push the guy. Sex does not equal love.

well maybe he is really starting to like you... you know guys might fool around with many girls but there´s this point where they find someone that will make them re think about all the player idea they had... just let it go and don´t try to get him into bed, just live this getting to know each other time and sex will come when it´s time for it to come...

Don't jump the gun, sweetie. No crystal ball here, just take it slow. Do you know how rare it is to find a guy who doesn't want to jump you right away? Just chill.

Charlotta_Adolfsson_DK just beat me to it - honey, men ALWAYS want sex. Forget about all the sugar-coated words, any other thing is secondary

Well, dont you wish to wait as well? What are your ulterior motives ? My advice is to date him casually (outside your's or even his place) and go slow. Maybe you are what he is looking for.

He does not want any strings attached. Sex is a huge string. You said it yourself, he has commitment issues.
