So the basic concept of the original sin is unjust, and the idea of the divine sacrifice is absurd, But That's only because The bible has been editted by man, Many doctrines were Added later.

The Concept of Islam is a simple one, anyone can grasp it (Unlike the trinity), So my question is: Why reject Theism because of a single religion?

And please state a doctrine or Teaching in Islam that you think contradicts logic or rationality, so that we may work together on it.

Thank you.

Yeow Teng:

To say that something created God would mean that God is not a god.

God has been in existance for eternity, time and place are his creation, he is not limited by them.

You are correct. It is illogical to think that disproving Christianity disproves God.

However, there is equally no evidence that the God described by Islam exists, either. To believe that Muhammad dictated the Quran from what was told to him by an angel is just as incredible as anything promoted by Christianity.

What is more, the diversity of opinion about the interpretation of the Quran suggests that it is just as incredibly vague and difficult to understand as any other religious text, and promotes more suffering on earth than peace.

You assume that a rejection of Christianity has been taken from a stance that considers the belief in God as tenable without the religion of Christianity. This is naive. The only thing I believe about Islam is the first four words of the Islamic shahadah, their declaration of faith: There is no God. PERIOD.

The bible and the Quran were written by man. I do not believe in either one. The hole concept of religion makes no sense. I do not see it as divine or divinely inspired, and is of little benefit to mankind, and the idea of divine inspiration is down right dangerous. While many concepts as how to live a moral life may be sound, these can be easily misconstrued and corrupted, many horrible things have been done in the name of god, by religious zealots.

I have never seen credible evidence of any god or gods. I will need more then a purported divinely inspired book or books.

So even if we leave out all the "creation" nonsense. There is still no credible evidence of god.

See, it really is what i elect to hearken to. pondering all the angles. Now, although i'm a Christian man or woman, i recognize purely how not undemanding that is to attitude the Bible as actuality. I advise, Christ must have cured 0.5 a million human beings of "demon possession" by the completed New testomony--yet I grew up in a international were "demonic possession" will be any type of medical ailments... although I respect the sanctity of the Bible, I actually have type of taken your attitude to boot. I respect and honor the recommendations and messages in the Bible, yet to apply it like some encyclopedia of human historic previous is really searching at it the incorrect way. To me, it really is like this... If that is a e book of non secular enlightenment and comprehend, and in 5 minutes i can thoroughly comprehend each and every thing from the finest 30 pages, how enlightening can or not it really is? it really is why it really is all contained in the attitude as to the way you examine it. For you it will be poetry, or fiction, or perception into how human beings concept and wrote centuries in the past. To me, that is a non secular guidance guide now and again, and others, only an undemanding examine. yet what's so admirable about your element is that you're not any more afraid to a minimum of seem into something--no count number how not undemanding you received't have self belief in it. and that i have self belief an similar way about evolution. even though it does bypass hostile to countless my held beliefs, i hit upon a lot extra reality in it with the help of being open-minded.

Yes. Man created god(s) in order to explain what he could not explain at the time. We now have years and years of scientific study to explain many things.

The earth is round and you won't fall off the edge. Meat that kills us does so because it's not cooked properly, not because some invisible god doesn't want us to eat it. These are but a few of the things that man ascribed to god(s) before science found an explanation.

I think it's time to let go of the fictional god(s) and pay attention to reality.

I don't know enough about the teachings of Islam to answer your final question. Teachings of peace and love are wonderful... as long as they're not tied to a god.

It is not simply the unjustness or the contradictions that make the Christian god, the Islamic God, or any god(s) fictional to me. It is simply that the entire notion of an all-knowing, all-powerful creator is too far-fetched for me to even consider as being true. It defies logic and common sense.

I would no more think that there is a god than I would believe that a tiny goblin lives in my dryer and steals socks, or that the moon is made of cheese.

I didn't go from Christianity to Atheism. I was a deist for a while. Atheists are pretty thoughtful people - they consider many religions.

I rejected the god concept due to Occums Razor. Why believe in god? (Because the universe is complex! Well then who designed god, who would be far more complex than his creation...) etc. etc.

I have been reading the Qu'ran over the past few months, but I find it a pretty hard go. A lot of rules and a LOT of dislike (esp toward Jews!) I don't see a lot of beauty and wisdom yet, but I'm going to keep plowing through.

1 particular concept of Islam which I think contradicts logic or rationality ...... Who created god if god created the world?

That is the exact problem ....

A. You claim nothing can be there without god's creation.

B. You claim god is in existence without creation.

C. Your A and your B does not talk to each other, now what logic is that?

You can put an imaginary creature in which you had never seen, never talk, never shown his face before as timeless and yet you cannot put something that is in existence as timeless. What is the rationally?

Islam is also a "God" based theory. Therefore to quote from there is similar as quoting from the Bible.

There is no fact supporting the origin of God. They only thing supporting it is stories told by man and written down in a book as that, STORIES.
There is fact in the creation of our planet and universe.

The belief in God makes no sense for there is nothing to support the "God" Theory. There is however fact and evidence that supports the creation of the universe and the 1.5 million year old fossils that I currently have in my possession, which I can see and touch.

This world would be such a nicer place if everybody could just let people believe what they want to believe. I personally wouldn't care if you wanted to worship belly-button lint !!!! As long as its not hurting anybody else, go for it. Help your fellow man and leave people alone. This means: Don't knock on my door Sundays while I'm watching football unless you have beer, don't hang out in front of the Metallica concert to tell me I'm going to hell, and quit trying to control whats on my TV and radio. I asume you're not a retard and know right from wrong so please give me the same courtesy. -'nough said

No gods exist, but not because one of them doesn't exist.

The whole concept is ridiculous, and of course there's no single shred of evidence for the existence of any gods.

If you want us to point out silly stuff in your religious text (though your explanations won't prove any gods exist):

The earth is fixed and does not move. 27:61

Allah made the stars as missiles to throw at devils. 67:5

Talking ants! 27:18
