can dogs eat corns?

I always see dogs eating corn on tv.
Is it ok to give my dog a boiled corn?

NO! It'll go right through him. Cobs can kill him.

Yes...just don't be suprised to see most of it in his/her stool the next day.

Remember, dogs aren't great for chewing small (soft) items, so the corn will mostly pass through without being digested.

However, as an earlier poster stated - NEVER give a dog a cob, always remove the corn from it (or simply buy niblets in a can).

Corn have some omega 3 and omega 6's. In my store, I have noticed corn to be a common allergen in dog foods. Therefore, I would not give my dogs corn. Carrots or green beans would be better. I have worked at my store for about 11 years and deal with this issue all the time.

I had a Golden Retriever who loved corn on the cob and it never hurt him. I would hold the cob by the ends and he would use his front teeth and scrape the nibblets off. He wasn't interested in eating the finished cob but I have seen plenty of dogs who have. I never "dressed" the cob of corn(butter/salt/pepper). I only fed him plain boiled or bbq corn. He lived a long and happy life.

Yes, but it literally has no nutritional value at all. Do not give in excess. If you are talking about the cob~~~Many dogs have suffered and, in some cases, died after eating corn-on-the-cob, because the corn cob caused a partial or complete intestinal obstruction. Never allow your dog access to corn cobs

I had a cat he was an Abyssinian he loved corn on the cob. He and the dog would share it. It was very funny to watch. I would not give it to them very often.

Yes,I give our dog canned corn,green beans,peas and carrots,she likes them all but her favorite is asparragus.
