My weight changed 5lbs today.... I was 164.4lbs when I woke up after using the bathroom and now I am 170.0lbs!!! How is this possible becuase i only ate 1200 claories today spaced out througout the day? My weight seems to fluxuate like crazy... Can being on my period have something to do with it?

water retention can fluctuate up or down 8lbs during the day. if your diet is good, your water rate is most likely just fluctuating.

5 lbs is normal. You should always weigh in right when you wake up after you have gone to the bathroom and stand on the scale completely naked. During the day we eat food and drink fluids and retain water from sodium intake. If you think about it, if we drink our 64 oz. of water a day that is 4 lbs right there. Also the weight of all the food we eat before we defacate all the parts our body doesn't absorb for nutrients and stuff. So I wouldn't freak out about it unless the scale starts going up in the mornings.

Ok the reason is that when u dont eat on a regular basis, such as breakfast lunch and dinner your body goins into a starvation mode and whatever is put in is automattically stored as fat to keep the body going for as long as possible with little food, i suggest you eat breakfast lunch and dinner but in equal ammounts, dont indulge urselft one meal and skim down the next! thats is very harsh on your body! I had the same problem so i know what i'm talkin about! plus it would help by working out!

Presumably when you weighed yourself in the AM you were dressed in little more than your birthday suit and maybe some skivvies?

When you weighed yourself in the PM, you were presumably fully dressed. It's amazing how heavy clothing can be.

Other than that...the mass of the food, the water / beverages you've consumed, etc...

Oh, and on most scales, shifting your weight from foot to foot can cause the reading of your weight to change as well.

DONT WEIGH YOURSELF EVERYDAY.......you flutuate 5 lbs everyday...you eat and drink all day, that stays with you until you take a poop the next morning then you weigh the same as when you started. Quit driving yourself crazy!! Dont' weigh yourself at night! Weigh yourself once every week.

It all depends on water retention, when you last ate, whether you've pooped or wee'd recently.
