I went fishing out tonight on a decently small lake, in a crummy old nasty boat. It was fiberglass and probably 20-30 years old. We used 2 pieces of wood for oars. It was so dark we couldn't see a thing. We got in the middle of the lake, the lantern went out and we had accidently dropped the lighter off the boat. We fished for a while, didn't catch anything and somehow made our way back to where we docked it. And then trekked a mile up a hill through the woods.

I had a great time. Loved every minute of it.

Fishing for steelhead on the weekend, myself and 2 other anglers had a triple header in the same TINY (20x15') pool! We hadn't had any bites that morning, but as soon as the sun poked through the clouds, we all got fish on within 30 seconds of each other! Somehow we all managed to land our fish without getting tangled! The biggest was a 29" hen from the guy beside me. My male was about 25" and so was the other guys We all had a big laugh, shook hands and posed for a photo together.

My buddy was catching Bluegill left and right, and I wasn't catching anything. I was so mad I started pretending I was fly-fishing with a casting pole. My baited hook was flying all around the water, and hooked a minnow through its stomach in the process!
It was the smallest fish I ever caught - all of about 2 - 1/2 inches.
My fishing did improve after that...

Well...it was interesting to me...I was fishing on my brother's boat out near Catalina Island and it was sooo calm and flat like glass! Beautiful day, and we were really enjoying it and then these two dolphins kept swimming around us and jumping in the water. You had to be there to apreciate it!

first time fishing offshore and we are grouper fishing. suddenly my rod doubles over and drag is screaming off! we're talking extra heavy action rod/ 80 lb test line etc... then just straightens up.not sure wat happend then a manta ray, about 6' wide about 100 ' away from boat jumps clear of water! i real up to see if my bait is still there and find that im stuck. friends dad comes to help and gets it up far enought to see im stuck on a fishing pole! got it up enough to get it out of the water and hook is stuck in last guide in top of pole! 1 in a million chance! got to keep the rod and still have it!

I caught a fish and wasn't sure what it was, I asked my boyfriend (who was standing far away) and he said, without even really looking,-- "looks like a smallmouth". I reached down and started to grab it by the lip and it had TEETH. I screamed "smallmouth my ***, this m-f has teeth." I realized it was a walleye. Man are they UGLY.
