I have the same problem. It's so embarrassing huh? One of my old doctors told me that it was symptom of pre-diabetes. And my gynecologist mentioned the ones on my thighs. He said it might be because I'm overweight and my thighs rub together. But I'm not really sure. Tell your doctor to refer you to a dermatologist. I'm waiting until I get to my goal weight before I do anything because if my weight is the problem than it will go away. Oh btw when you go to your doctor will you please email me and tell me what he said it was? Thanks and take care.

Well I am not sure if I am correct but this has happend to me once, and I am thinking it could be the same thing. I bought a little jacket cover up (cheap) and I wore it and that night when I took it off there was black all over my armpits and elbows and it was just from the jacket. I don't know if that helps but that is what happen to me. I just scrubbed and used all kinds of cleasers and it came off. Hope it helps.

Are you using an after shave lotion, very often ? it also causes the black patch at those region. They normally are dead skin cells, accumulated, and formed as a layer over the normal skin. Just rubbing it with a scrapper using a soap will not remove it.
Apply alcohol or spirit of Pharmaceutical grade, and rub with surgical cotton. It removes all scales formed. In the first apply itself, you can get rid of almost 50%. Good luck.

Could be dye from cloting who's colour fast dye wasn't very colour fast.
Could be some really funky dirt...
Could even be a reaction to something, or a combination of somethings.
It's called Annoying/Embarrasing - especially if it is a skin condition, and not something originating from outside the body.

It's possible it could be a type of bacteria. Bacteria likes to grow in dark and moist places that are warm. If you have been active in sports without using deoderant this may be what athletes get.
Go to your doctor so he can prescribe you something to help you. or just dont forget to wear deoderant
GOOD LUCK :-D
