I am totally against this idea of him getting a new car and I will not have it on my insurance. I agree, he lives with his dad, his dad is going to have to put it on his policy.

If the car is in his name then it will be a bunch of money.

If it is in one of your names, and he is not listed as the principle driver, then it will still be a fair amount but not near as bad as having the car in his name.

The boy needs to be listed as the principle driver on the worst car that you have. By that, I mean the oldest and cheapest car that you own.

It must be nice to be 16 and have a new car. It took me a long time to get mine, and it was a cheap one to boot, but I paid for it by myself and that was a good feeling.

Just hopes he doesn't wreck it, or your insurance will hit the roof. good luck

i think of the 2005 toyota camry is greater constructive for a sixteen three hundred and sixty 5 days previous through fact something like an basically approximately sort new 2008 chrysler sebring could be way too flashy as a common automobile. It basically relies upon on your perspective.

an arm and a leg. a 16 yr old without good student discount will be bad news. If you are stuck with this situation, you may look into putting the car AND the insurance in his name only.
This may provide you some protection from lawsuits in case he is involved in a serious accident. they can take his assets, but may not be able to get yours.

More than the payment! I think that if dad wants to foot the bill for the payment, he needs to cough up the money for the insurance payment. Your son lives in his home and you can't really monitor his driving habits.
