How would Jesus treat his children that identify as Homosexual?

There's so much discussion and debate. So much anger and hatred. Just wondering what happens if we take a critical and honest look at this issue. personal politics aside. see this through the eyes of God.

Well, we would have to rely on what Jesus did amongst sinners. Those that knew that they were sinners he befriended. Those that thought that they were 'better' than other people, he had problems with.

So the Homosexual that wants to come to God is welcomed by him. The homosexual that thinks that he doesn't do anything wrong at all ( no sin of any kind) , he has problems with.

I am a Bisexual Christian.

I agree! It's too bad that Homosexuals hate Christians so much. God's Word says that many men love their sin more than the truth. That is why they stay away from the light. The light exposes their sin. The Light is Jesus. I can speak for most Christians, we love Homosexuals. That is why we tell them the truth, God's Word in love. We care for them and don't want them to go to hell. We know because we were once out of God's love and His wrath was upon us. We are so glad that we turned from our sins and received Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Jesus would be doing the same things that we are doing today because Jesus lives in each "Born Again" Believer.

Jesus would probably dine with them like He dined with all sinners while He was on the earth. He would treat them with compassion- because as He said- "The sick need a physician". We are all sinners, with certain sins, and all of us need to know that Jesus died on the cross for everyone of them, including homosexuals. Jesus would tell them, as He did the woman who was caught in adultery- "where are your accusers, but go and sin no more"

Well, when the woman who was caught in adultery was brought before Him he addresed the ones trying to trap Him and her and told them he who was without sin to cast the first stone in order to kill her. Once he had saved her from certain death He addressed her lifestyle. She confessed her sin and He told he to go and sin no more. So, I think that would be a good parallel to the homosexual issue. The Bible says that homosexuality is an abomination to God. It doesn't say the homosexual is the abomination. It is the practicing of homosexuality. Jesus would try to get them to repent of their sin and tell them to go and sin no more.

Jesus is capable of knowing the heart of an individual and their life experiences. Jesus and the father are one. John 10:30. God made his position clear in the bible. In the parable of the weeds and the good seed ( vegetables ) were left to grow until the day of the harvest. They were separated and put placed according to God's law. If a person is gay and says he is a child of God then he needs to follow scripture and remain celibate. If he continues to defile himself in action against God's law then he deceives himself and his ways are not God's ways.

Well being that God in the OT was obviously against it and God the spirit thought the inspired word of the NT was against it...I'm guessing Jesus would be against it too...but with love, patience and kindness. He wouldn't except it as the norm like society does today instead he would preach repentance and deliverance.

He would treat them with love and compassion and would still tell them as it says in the word that man is not to lay down with man it is an abomination unto God.

Just love them. Just like He did all the other prostitutes, tax collectors and other sinners. Just like He loves all of us (sinners!)

Probably the same way He addressed the woman He saved from being stoned for adultery. "Go your way, and sin no more".
