The negativity can be a little contageous, so watch out for that. I'm proud to be an Atheist and an American. Have a good day.

Carrie,
I am with you. I was venting to a guy at work about the polemic attacks on Lutheranism. Case in point:
The Moravian church predates the Lutheran Church, yet ardent Roman Catholics run around claiming that Luther (not John Huss) split the church, was the founder of Protestantism (like one person can be coined the founder of such a long and diverse movement) and is the cause for all denominations since the 1500's.

There is a lot of ignorance about Lutheranism and Martin Luther on Yahoo! Answers and in this country.

I thought pride is supposed to be a sin to Christians. And why are are you proud that you are an American? You could have just as easily been born in India. Shouldn't you be happy to be an American instead of proud?

You have no trouble believing in Christianity, or Lutheranity.... what's the problem with believing in other Negativity?

You can believe in Santa Claus, and Easter Bunny and The Phantom....all are about the same level as Religion....they don't exist.

I'm proud to be Jewish. Everyone should be proud about their religion! There is no need for anyone to look down on anyone else, just because we don't see eye to eye!
