I have a Beagle pup who is almost 10 months old she's NOT fixed and had her first heat a while ago. Although she's off of it now but her nipples are pink and pronounced she's also sleeping more than she norml does.
Could she possibly be pregnant?

The other dog that we have is a 1 year old male pug.

She very well could be pregnant. Pregnancy usually lasts 63-65 days in the dog. The swelling of the nipples that you see while she's in heat should have gone down by now. I would suggest you take her to the vet and have her examined. If there is any question about whether or not she is pregnant, sometimes it's hard to palpate puppies, you can have her x-rayed at around 45 days gestation and the puppies will be visible. Just to be safe, make sure she's on a good puppy food so that she's getting all of the nourishment she needs to have healthy pups.

Pregnancy is likely, particularly if you didn't keep the 2 of them separated 24/7. Have the vet check her out, and let them know the dates she was in heat if you remember. Being so young puts her at high risk for complications: not carrying to full term, problems delivering, malnutrition, stunted growth (she's not done growing herself yet), not being mature enough to nurse the pups, which would mean you have to bottle feed them. If she is pregnant, then she MUST be fed puppy food, she needs the extra vitamins and calories desperately.

False pregnancies are also common, and that's part of the reason the vet needs to know when her heat cycle was. If she was in heat 3 months ago, then she would have delivered by now if it was a true pregnancy (for example).

And you really should get them fixed. If you can't afford to do both, at least get the male fixed, it's easier and cheaper to fix a male dog.

Sometimes females will go through a fake pregnancy right after their heat cycle. If you watched her closely during her heat, she's most likely not pregnant, but if you were careless with your other dog around, then she probably is. A 1 year old dog is totally capable of impregnating a female. Also, after a heat cycle, the nipples will always be more pronounced than a dog that has not been through heat. Get her spayed, that's the easiest. Also, going through a pregancy before 2 years of age can cause severe physical trauma on a dog as well as genetic issues of the puppies. Go get her spayed. NOW!!

.It is very possible if they were left alone at all. Pray that she is not because this is really to young for her to have pups. She has not reached maturity yet. This is similar to a 15 year old having a baby. She can, she may even be a good mother but most at this age are not ready to go into motherhood.Get her to a vet, if she is pregnant, she may need extra vitamins because she is still developing herself and it will take a lot out of her for the babies to develop healthy.

It is possible, especially if you did not take precautions to keep her from getting pregnant. You need to take her to get checked out by a vet, and they may be able to confirm if the dog is or isn't pregnant. Also, you need to know when she came into heat so your vet has an idea of about how far along she is.

It could be a false pregnancy but it is possible she's pregnant, I would recommend you at least get one of your dogs fixed puppies can be very expensive if any types of problems arise plus there are to many dogs out there who need to be adopted

Could possibly be a false pregnancy. My female pitbull has the same problem with two unfixed male dogs around. She's too mean to get pregnant.
