if you don't believe in God, this assumes you have a definition of what he isn't, unless it's just another blind faith that no definition will suffice. so, what is God not?

I find it hard to believe that somebody who has the ability to create a spectacular universe would only allow those who admit his son as "savior" in to heaven. If all sinners are made perfect in this heaven then why cant all sinners be brought to heaven?

With the help of the American Heritage Dictionary, I would say that god could be defined as

1. (God)
(a) A being conceived as the perfect, omnipotent, omniscient originator and ruler of the universe, the principal object of faith and worship in monotheistic religions.
(b)The force, effect, or a manifestation or aspect of this being.
2. A being of supernatural powers or attributes, believed in and worshiped by a people, especially a male deity thought to control some part of nature or reality.

I don't believe in the Monotheistic Christian God. I do not believe in a Transcendent Creator separate from his Creation. That does not mean, however, that I am an Atheist. Far from it! I do believe in an entire pantheon of Divine beings which guide, govern, and protect every aspect of the Universe. I believe that these Gods are not supernatural or apart from Nature, but rather that the Divine Essence is in every part of nature. There is no part of me that is not of the Gods! Thou art God. So, as I accept my own Divine nature, I accept the Divine Nature of every living thing, and everyone I meet. And, I give honor to the Gods of Olympus.

I don't believe in any being/spirit/entity/force that is reported to be all-knowing, all-powerful, or creator of the universe. I also don't believe in any such thing that is reported to have any "supernatural" powers or is clearly just a figment of the imagination (invisible people that others claim talk to them). I'm sure there are more descriptions, powers, or whatever that I don't believe in, but this should suffice for now.

Again, I lack belief in anything that fits any conventional definition of a god or gods.

EDIT: No, it's not. There are accepted lexical definitions of what a god is. I don't believe in any of them. A supreme being; a being with more than natural abilities, eternal spirit, creator/ruler of the universe. I don't believe that anything that actually exists fits any of these definitions.

I can't give a definition of my god because I don't have a god.

I can give the definition of your god. A vindictive being, that uses humans as play things. Rules though fear and the promise of some a possible reward if you have blind obedience. Disobedience will be eternally punished in the flames of hell.

Tony L, if you weren't such an ignoramus or someone that just sees what he wants to see, you would find that atheists have again and again explained why they don't believe in God. Just look through old questions to find your answer.

My definition of a god would be a being with powers outside of nature, i.e. supernatural powers.

There is no such being.

You could pose your argument for every imaginary concept.

Replace "God" with "Easter Bunny" in your question, and repost it. Or "Zeus". I like "Cthulhu" personally.
