It is common after the dog goes through a heat cycle. Dogs are the only known animal that go through the same hormonal changes after a heat cycle weather they are pregnant or not. So, she may just be having a false pregnancy.

Awww how cute! They do that.. They will always be just slightly bigger than they were before coming into heat.. If you don't like it, get her spayed now, cause they'll get bigger, and if you allow her to get pregnant, then they'll be even bigger..
What do you mean ALMOST??? She's 8 mos old, you should be 110 % positive that she is NOT pregnant..

Sounds pretty normal to me. Same happened with my Jack with her first heat. They'll go down some after a bit. I don't think that it's anything to be worried about though.

That is why you spay a female dog. They can develop breast cancer as they get older. She is just reacting to the hormonal changes she went through.
