I got a 2nd degree burn from a motorcycle on my leg. I went to see a doctor and he said it was healing pretty well. He gave me some ouchless pads to put on it.. and some ointment. I was wondering if I should keep covering it.. if it is a big deal if I don't? I just don't know what is good or bad to do while it is healing?! help!

Depends on how long it has been since the injury, and the size of the injury. You might want to leave the wound uncovered at night while you're sleeping, so that it has a chance to breath and develop a scab. You can't leave the bandage on forever, but be sure to keep it protected from dirt and chafing by clothing. If it's still raw and oozing, keep it bandaged. If it has already developed a hard scab, you can probably safely leave the bandage off most of the time.

You can always call the doc's office and ask his nurse what to do if you're uncertain.

Vitamin E is really good for healing burns. If the burn is in a spot where your pants/shorts/underwear are going to rub on it then it is a good idea to keep bandages on it with the Vitamin E. I would not go rolling in the dirt while it is still healing.
