he has a rather large lump between his ears, and for his age(about six weeks)he has big paws, short floppy ears, sleeps alot(which is expected from puppies), and he has one big black spot on his toungue. He also has quite some axcess hide. So i'm kind of confused on what he could be.

Let me get this straight. You BOUGHT a puppy and you don't know what you bought????

If you bought a puppy from a petstore, then you just helped a puppy mill or bad breeder stay in business.

Also 6 weeks is too young for a puppy to leave it's litter, they tend to bite a lot more if they leave too young. Google Bite Inhibition.

I'd call the store and ask about this puppy. Find out exactly where he came from and who is parents are. Take your pup to a vet as many petstore puppies are sick. Don't use the vet that the store uses. Use a different vet.

I hope your puppy, whatever it is, is not sick and does not end up with any genetic problems.

Excess hide? Like a Shar Pei? Black spots on the tongue do not mean anything. Many breeds besides Chow Chows have black spots.

I hope you did not pay much money ! Check your local animal control for breed laws...Pits are illegal in some areas.

Well Chows and Shar pei's have black tongues. The excess hide you are talking about and the short floppy ears makes me think he may be a Shar pei mix. They have a lot of folds as puppies. Take a look at them on the web and see if there is a resemblence

pit bulls are very big headed and bow legged, compared to other pups. this should stand out to you within the first couple weeks of having it. they also tend to be more stubborn and playful. ive never seen a pit bull with a lump between his ears or a spot on the tounge, the axcess hide is probably because its still a pup and will have to grow into it.

a good way to find out is invite the homeowners insurance people over for coffee, and see if they drop your insurance policy.
All joking aside, When you take him to the vet (which you should do anyways, ask them.
It is always good to take a new puppy to the vet right off the bat. They will tell you what kinds of shots you need, do a general health checkup.
6 Weeks?! Salesman?! Did you buy a puppy that young from a pet store?

well, the large lump between the years (ive heard) can make them more valuable. The excess hide normally comes from the bulldog types. It could be a pitbull, but why is it a concern? Pit bulls can be very loving family dogs if trained properly

that's humorous, we've a yorkie. They easily have a princess attitude. attempt including some meat on your dry canines nutrition and placed it interior the bowel. make optimistic the bowel is sufficiently small (we purchase cat nutrition bowels). Yorkies have very gentle throats. There bowels could desire to be sufficiently small to the place they are not rubbing on there neck. They like to be hand feed, so in case you initiate this you have a annoying time breaking the habbit.

Ring the salesman. Lots of breeds look similar at 6weeks. You should have in theory researched which breed of dog fit into your lifestyle then gone searching for that breed. Good Luck I hope everything turns out.

Why don't you ask the place you got it from? How can someone who can't see your pup even begin to make a guess?

If he has a black spot on his tongue, he is some kind of chow mix. Pure bred pit bulls do not have black spots on their tongues.
