i know what you are going through. i've been there and done it. i have been battling with my ED for over 5 years now.... The best person to talk to would be your mom, or a sibling if you have one. Just sit down with her and tell her, say mom I need to tell you something, tell her to just listen. Then tell her, mom I need help, I have an ED and I don't know what to do... I am almost positive she will understand. It's going to be overwhelming.

Congratulation, no really admitting you have a problem is the first step to getting help and getting better.

My best advice would be to tell your mom, yes it may be a big shock to her but if you're serious about getting well you'll need support

Another option I can think of is to make a promise with a really close Friend to be accountable to them for what you eat, and be honest.

You might tell your mom you'd like to go to counseling, often your folks insurance will pay for it. The counselor may be able to help you or help you figure out how to tell your mom.

Good luck

*very well written question

If you have an eating disorder, and have lost a lot of weight, chances are your mom has noticed, and is just afraind to bring it up. This is what happened to my daughter and I. Please talk to your mom, even if you have to look at the floor while doing so...just talk. That first step is always the biggest and hardest to make. Good luck.
