Seeing he is blind.. When he said 'I see' he was obviously speaking figuratively. Therefor logic suggests his hammer and saw were also figurative and he was picking them up in his mind.

I really feel sorry for this man as he owns nothing material.

blind people cant see and should NEVER touch a hammer or saw.
