When you only say "i know" back, it means you can tell that they love you but you arent ready to say i love you back.

How long have u 2 been 2gether?Thats what I need 2 know. Love is real...it's not a game.If you feel you don't want to say "i love you" back then you're not ready to take that step in you're life right now.Take it slow...but also let the other person know that you do have feelings for them, but you're not sure if its that strong of a feeling yet.

Actions speak louder than words. What do you feel? Do you feel that this person loves you back? 'I love you' can be extremely powerful and sometimes scary for some people. I used to be that way. But the words are not going to change how they feel so don't get upset. And just because that person didn't tell you what you wanted to hear should not make afraid to continue to tell that person how you feel. Say what is on your mind because honesty is extremely important in all relationships.

No! You don't say 'I know!' No offense, but what a jerky thing to say! But...i understand if you were at a loss for words.
I know is an acknowledgement of affection. As in, you are appreciative that this person has bestowed their affection onto you. But...it is kind of curt.
But, at least you didn't say 'i love you' without meaning it.

You're acknowledging that you know they love you, but probably don't feel the same way.
