Yes it does mean to be Christ-like, footstep followers of his and to obey his commands.(Matthew 28:19,20) Jesus taught by word and by example. Jesus was humble. He always gave glory and honor to his Father. In fact he said "the Father is greater than I am" - John 14;28. He acquiesced to his Fathers will (John 6:38, Luke 22:42). He taught his followers to worship his Father (Matthew 6:9) He also made his Father's name known. In his final prayer to his Father before his death he said "..I have made your name known to them and will make it known, in order that the love with which you loved me may be in them and I in union with them." John 17:26
Those who are true Christians have full faith that Jesus Christ is God’s specially Anointed One and only-begotten Son, the Promised Seed who sacrificed his human life as a ransom, was resurrected and exalted to the right hand of Jehovah, and received authority to subdue his enemies and vindicate Jehovah’s name. (Luke 24:46; Joh 3:16; Hebrews 10:12, 13)

Christian does indeed mean to follow the example set by Christ. That is exactly what He was, too, our perfect example.

There are people out there in the world that are trying to confuse things by giving them important sounding names. Some say polytheism is good, some say it is bad. Poly means many, theism is belief. Polytheism means belief that God is three beings. Monotheism means God is one being.

The truth of the matter is what the Bible says. It says that in the beginning there was God, and there was the Word. God is the Word, and the Word is God. Later on you find that Jesus is the the Word. You also discover the Holy Spirit, or the Comforter. All of these are God. The Bible documents God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. One God made of three somethings. We just don't know what the somethings are; we don't have a handy name for them.

Maybe our poor little human brains cannot fathom three being one, but we have things in our very world that we can make comparisons to.

Take for example "fish". How many fish am I speaking of? Could be one, could be three. Depends on the context of my sentence.

Take for example "management". Am I speaking about one person, or a team of people?

So now we have the word God. One being or three? The Bible indicates three and one, depending on context.

And then again, we have people in our world who actually have multiple personalities within their one body. We consider them sick, but does this point to something we could learn. Three or more, all in one? Hmmmmm.

And finally, human beings are indeed a trinity. We have a body, which is the eartly materials that make up our flesh.

We have a spirit, which gives the body animation so it can move, breathe, eat, and reproduce. God Breathed Life Into Adam. God issued the spirit that made the body alive.

We have a soul, which is our unique personality that makes you YOU. In life the three are united in one being. In death, the three separate. The body goes back to the earth (dust to dust...), the spirit goes back to God who gave it, and the soul goes to be judged as to whether it lived a good life and made good choices or not. Three parts making up one whole.

Does any of this bring any clarity to the question posed?

Behaving like Christ.

Just a couple of days ago, I saw a lady with Christian bumper stickers on her car run two stop signs. That would not be "Christ-like".

We are aquitted by god through Jesus christ
as the sacrifice that waivered us
in gods eye.
Hell was not made for humans it was
made for satan and his demons.
God loves us he doesnt want us to burn.
As a sinner matures to perfection, is a
sinner that becomes more like jesus, who
is perfect in gods eye.
