There is no real easy way to answer as I don't know you. If you are asking about being a wuss physically - the thing to do is start off slow, but be sure to seek a physician before starting. Walking, stretching/ light yoga, light weightlifting, watching what you eat - then slowly progress. Be sure to ease yourself into this, slowly progressing to more strenuous activity. Self defense classes are a good way too - I'd recommend (again seek a physician before) a class that uses karate and judo - not only are you learning to defend yourself, but you also are getting a workout.

If you are seeking more confidence, this will take time. From the outside answering - know yourself. Be confident and know your limitations. Know them, and be able to bend them, but don't lose who you are. Look at what are your best assets - what makes you more confident. Then look at what areas, based on what you are good at - what can you work on. For instance - if you are good at talking and holding a conversation, are you still comfortable if is a stranger? what if the stranger is attractive? In this arena, practice makes perfect. Speed dating, going to bars/ night clubs, having a wingman may ease this for you. The best thing, just be yourself and find venues where you are comfortable in the place and what you will be doing. Good Luck!
