God is in the mind of the believer. He was created by man. ~

No, you don't have to die to find our beautiful Creator.

The first part of James 4:8, helps us to see that he wants to have a personal relationship with us.

And in Acts 17:27 he lets us know that he is closer than we think.

So where do we find him ?

he has provided us with his words, thoughts. 2 Timothy 3:16,17 says that the scriptures are inspired by him.

So by taking time to read and investigate the bible we will get to know our Creator, find him.

I suggest you begin by praying to him and let him know that you would like to know who he is and help you to sift through all confusion about him and help you to identify the truth.

Take a look at Psalms 83:18 and/or Exodus 3:15. There (depending on the translation of the bible you use, many have unfortunately taken it out) you should find Gods personal name. Use it when you talk to him.

Finding God requires effort, determination, perseverance,
and certitude.
When some people pray they look to the heavens and offer there prayers. This is foolhardy.
A person that truly wants to find God looks deeply within and
offers a melting heart, surrendering to God.
God is in the innermost chamber of the heart. This chamber is so small it cannot be located with the most highly
developed scientific tools or equipment.
Yet man has been given a razor sharp tool that can penetrate the innermost chamber of the heart, and intermingle with his creator, (God).
This tool is called Prayer, and it leads man to submission of his small will to follow Gods Will.
There are no substitutes or synthetics that can replace prayer.
Its not a commodity that can be traded or sold on the open market.
Prayer is a gift that has been given to man by God.
God can be realized while we are alive, you don't have to die.
I thought you should be reassured of that.
Prayer in its purest form is that tool that allows man to commune with God, in ancient times it was called communion. It must be used on a regular basis, so one can form a bond with it, and it will lead you on the path to find God. And I assure you if your intentions are firm, you will reach the goal you are seeking.

If you are truly looking to find God, ask Him for help in finding Him. He will hear your prayer and either send a person, a book, an article, a radio show, or something that will guide you. Tell Him you want to get to know Him. Do you have a Bible? If you do, start reading John 3:16. God loves you and wants you to know Him. He knows you and already loves you.

meditate....try to do things for other people and you will receive that wonderful feeling. It's a real eye opener when you help desolate people. You see their situations, yet you also see how much faith they have (some of them) and how they make the best of their positions.

If you are searching for more structurized ways to find God, you should read the different Holy books, or visit different places of worship. I don't want to push any religion on you, so I won't be able to tell you how I found God.

God is in everything. Look around you. Nature and all its beauty. Humanity and triumph over insurmountable difficulties throughout history. The order in this world (yes, despite the war and all the calamities, there's still a lot of it) can't be just pure coincidence. There has to be higher power watching over it. It must be God.

Well I can't tell you how to find God, but I can tell you how I found him. I prayed. I prayed my heart and soul out until I couldn't pray anymore. No answer. So then I went outside and saw life of the animals and trees. You feel the warmth of the sun and then you go to bed and the next morning you just know.

Pray that He be with you, and open the Holy Bible to the book of John. Read all of the book of John, then read Matthew, Luke and Mark. His word and prayer is the only way we can "find" Him while here on this earth. The Holy Spirit is here to guide you, and if you are sincere, you will "find" God.

Pray, read holy books, and pay attentions to feelings of peace within your heart. When those warm, peaceful feelings enter in, then you know you have found God.

I found God by practicing my religion - the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

God blesses those who diligently seek Him. His Word is a good place to start. but you can't get to God except through accepting Christ as Lord and Savior
