When we eat something when do we absorb the calories in the food? In the intestines? Stomach? Where?????

the body knows nothing of calories, that is a man-made concept. the body only knows molecules in terms of the macro nutrients like proteins, carbohydrates and fats. and in terms of micronutrients which contain no calories and they are vitamins and minerals.

the majority of the digestion process takes places in the small intestine where nutrients are passed into the portal bloodstream. simple sugars can be ingested through the mouth and stomach in very high quantities.
