Today?? I believe that the work mentioned in Matthrew 24:14
The Good news about the Christ is being preached in all the earth for a witness to all the people and then the end will come. The angels are directing this work and going to honest hearted ones and telling them the truth about God and the bible.
When this work is over than the end will come.

Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
What is the timing of this?
The Antichrist is defeated and in the pit for 1000 years,and Christ has returned to earth. This age of the Flesh is over.
The gospel of Christ is the everlasting gospel. God loves His people, and He will judge no one in their ignorance. There is going to be time of teaching and discipline in the Millennium known as the Lords Day.
Rev 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
