So basically the people who deny an event are with some sort of imaginary creature?
It is much propaganda in various places because people never have liked the Jews. Of course even your "god" took place in various genocides that people don't believe occured so why are you surprised?

I went to the Holocaust Museum in DC last year (I highly recommend it to everyone). In the section of the museum on the liberation of the camps there was a quote from General Eisenhower stating that they needed to bring as many of the world's leaders and other people to see the camps and the victims as soon as possible to be witnesses. He said the atrocities there were so horrendous that it was beyond the imagination of most people and without a lot of witnesses, it would be easy for people to deny that it ever took place.
I think he was right. And there are also the people who benefit from denying that it took place.

Well, of course, the holocaust happened. And the reason many Muslims are trying to say Hitler wasn't real either is because most Muslims backed the Nazis in WW II.
Btw, many of the answers here talk about religion but, it was the US, a mostly Christian nation that defeated Hitler.
295,000 servicemen from the US died in WW II. For people that most of them had never met and yet they died to save them. Thousands of Brits, Aussies, Canadians, Indians (India), Chinese, and many others died to, to defeat Hitler and Japan. The total deaths were in the millions, many millions.
As far as the holocaust goes though, I think the Jews are kind of overstating their numbers that were killed by the Nazis. And Nazis killed Christians, Jews, Germans, French, Russians, ( a lot of Russians) and really anyone they wanted to.

They don't believe it existed because they're rabidly anti-Jewish. I actually had a roommate in college who told me that the Holocaust never happened, and that the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion was a legitimate document. Needless to say, we never discussed history again (and it almost prevented me from ever considering the Orthodox Church, because I associated it with that nonsense).
We should deal with these claims ruthlessly in our rhetoric. Give them no quarter and expose them for the intellectual frauds they are.

For the same reason that some people believe in Global Warming: they believe the propaganda.
I have met holocaust deniars, and I find it hard to believe that educated people think that something that has been documented to that degree, and that was witnessed by millions of people is not true.

People like to ignore the truth to fit what they want to believe. My mother lived through it . She told us as kids all the things she saw growing up. It is pure evil. That stuff is wide spread now days though the average person would not know about it, because no one wants to see it and admit it's real. Real evil is something people want to ignore, evil wants to be ignored so it can grow. It is propaganda used by the white supremest, need I say more?

Nobody of note denies the holocaust.
What I want to know is, when do the Russians get a look in? They lost 20 million - and they were fighting, not trudging into gas-chambers.

Well they do not the consequences, they might have something personal about it. They might have a guilty conscious, maybe their ancestor fought on the German side, who knows. But we do know that they DO know it exists, why would they give it a name then, giving something a name shows your recognition of it. They denied it because they are scared.

It's funny but most people who deny the holocaust are either neo-nazis or some other kind white supremacist, and you would think that they would be celebrating the holocaust.

Anyone who says the holocaust of Jews didn't happen is retarded. There are also many other holocaust that have happened since but the Jews don't want to talk or hear about those just their own.
