How long does a sever throat take to heal? I have been very sick since Sat?

I have already been to the doctor, and recieved both pinicillian of some sort and a steriod shot. When will I be able to go back to work,cause I still feel lousy.

Severing one's throat usually DOESN'T heal. Here is an instance where that silent "E" is sooooo important!

If you were giving the medications by the doctor and not better in 72 hours, you need to go BACK to the doctor for more help!

Are you gargling with warm salted water at least twice a day? Are you drinking extra water and juices, especially orange juice? Are you staying in bed and rest?

Go see the doctor tomorrow because you may have more than a standard sore throat? He may need to culture the throat to give you the correct medication.
