Are you using an adapting wire harness or are your CD player's wires just connected to the factory wiring?

The yellow wire from your CD player needs to be connected to a source of constant voltage. If it's connected to a yellow FACTORY wire, that's a switched power source. GM wire colors don't match the after-market standard. In a GM, the constant power wire is orange.

make sure you connect the yellow wire on the radio to a constant 12 volt source. the yellow wire is what keeps the memory on the radio

do not connect anything to the dimmer wire.
the yellow goes to constant 12v
the red goes to switched 12v
