You are free to believe what you would like to believe. God does not force his will on anyone.
My suggestion is you study religion and then decide whether it is something you should believe in.

The Catholic Church has an RCIA class for people like you who are in search for meaning. You are under no obligation to become a Catholic after the course. You can even walk out anytime you want. If you are interested, check with your local parish.
Peace and every blessing!

Hell makes no sense to you simply because you have been told a pack oflies..according to what you had to say about boiling oil and being torn to pieces..that is not the "hell" of the bible...
Too many people have listened to mans lies about what the bible is saying and do not want to look for the truth.
Satan has made sure that people believe that hell is such that all people can think about is how cruel God is..when in fact he is destroying sin forever with one action ...destroying them with fire....when the fire has no fuel it goes out..
People have seen the word everlasting fire and the verse that talks about screaming night and day etc and built a whole doctrine of lies around it..and they do not want to look at all the other texts which tell the whole story.
And more and more people are falling for satans lies..how sad is that for God who wanted noone to perish..Jesus died so that everyone could have life more abundantly..and look at how people repay Him..they believe satans lies....

It all depends on how you interpret the bible.

I don't really believe in the traditional hell, where what you do on this Earth condemns you forever. I think we make our own hell and it is up to us to remove ourselves from it.

But, I do think there is karma and you must pay (learn) for your mistakes and harm done to others. Maybe it is something like, 'You did such and such to so and so and it was wrong. You must go through this experience you are being given so you can understand why it was wrong and learn from it. Then you can move on."

Remember, you are hearing what others have told you and how others have interpreted what they have learned. Do some research, gather information and sort through it until something clicks. I think faith should bring peace and harmony that carries over to your relationships with others, regardless of the religion. Most major religions hold the same basic beliefs- selflessness, kindness, truth, going beyond the physical plane. You just have to search with your heart as well as you mind.

The bible or religion are just means to help you know the difference between good and bad. Otherwise, bad would just be anything that doesn't feel great at the moment and good would be whatever gets you off. Don't worry about the hell thing.... It's what you do on Earth that should concern you more.

Why bad people who do bad things?
- God gave us freewill, and when sin entered the world, many people have chosen the wrong path and do evil/bad

When they go to hell they get punished?
- What happens in hell has never been exactly explained, however the bible states it is for eternity and is a fiery place,
hence probably torture and fire and what not

Shouldn't Satan welcome you for doing the things he would want you to do here on earth?
- He is a liar

alright the deal... is that if you have jesus, you have no fear of hell, becuz you are already saved from it. i used to be a huge rule follower, becuz i was afraid that if i didnt follow the rules, i would go to hell. but when i got jesus, i wasnt ever afraid of hell again. its so wonderful... but anyway, you should welcome him with open arms, although true love and forgiveness can only be done by those freed from sin by accepting jesus christ as their savior, and what most ppl dont get is that they HAVE TO GIVE THEIR LIVES TO HIM. completely. this will occur if you TRULY believe in christ. so if you believe in him, you will just be compelled to throw everything out of ur life that is disgraceful to god.

if you have any more questions, plz email me. i would so love to help you with this!

Peace, Love, Hope, Grace, and Faith

Religion as a whole is responsible for many people killing other people. 9/11, the Holocaust (6 million), Iran/Iraq, Palestine/Israel, the list goes on and on. Religion downright scares me and is one of the most evil forces known to man made by man.

Because you are confused. I wonder if you have ever read the Bible and know anything about Jesus and his message. How about this. I believe those who do not believe i God are so afraid of the truth of the existence of God and being accountable to their creator that they try and repress and supress the truth because it is so frightful to them.

In my opinion, religion uses fear to control and there is no hell. I think this is hell and if we do something wrong, we're reincarnated back to hell.
