My gift has to relate to what people do at 9:00 in the morning. What do you do at 9:00 in the morning? If you are still sleeping then, do you have any ideas on what I could use?

I have to agree with most of the answers on here. I would do some type of breakfast basket. If the person you are giving the gift too is a coffee drinker, I would go to a local coffee shop for a few bags of coffee beans. You could then put things like coffee cups to match the decor' of their new home, biscotti, specialty syrups and creamers, danishes, bagels, jam, and even a coffee pot in there with it. If they are not a coffee drinker think about putting breakfast foods into the basket. Or you could do a gift basket with bath and body products in it. I usually take my shower about that time. The possibilities are endless for that one. You cold put different shower gels, shampoo, conditioner, body scrub, loofahs, soaps, candles, and any other bath type thing. If you think they are still in bed at that time, how about some cute jammies and a sleeping mask and some house shoes. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I'm drinking coffee at 9:00 in the morning. How about a nice coffee maker and matching mugs. You could also throw in some flavored coffee and creamer.

My husband suggests a gift certificate to Duncan Donuts. Most people are at work by then, but I would still get them a toaster over. I have a big black and decker one that will cook a 12" pizza. We use it everyday. You could get them a coffee maker that brews right into two travel mugs.

Breakfast items come to mind-- waffle maker, pancake griddle, juicer, toaster, coffeemaker and the like. You could make a bit of a theme of the gift- a juicer and some juice glasses, waffle maker and the makings for waffles, perhaps adding a recipe with your gift.

At 9 a.m., most people are starting work, or have already been there an hour or so. Maybe an insulated thermos for coffee, or a gift basket with a travelling coffee cup, assortment of fancy coffees.... - ok, at 9 a.m. most people are thinking of coffee, so that's where my head is!
