Define constipation. Has the dog not gone in a day? Two days? Is she still eating/ Is she drinking water?
It is possible she may need an enema to get things moving, and that should only be done by a vet.
If you find that constipation is a problem with her, you should make sure that she always has plenty of water, including a second dish if you work all day and she runs out or spills one.
Adding fiber to her diet will help as well. The canned pure pumpkin is good, given a couple of times a week. In a dog her size, a couple of tablespoons at a time should be okay. Freeze the rest of the can in an ice cube tray so you can take out a little at a time.
You might also consider getting a fiber chow from your vet, and making her food ration 1/4 of the fiber chow and 3/4 of the regular.
Exercise is also a must, even if it is just a short play session every day. The muscles that control the bowels get lax and lazy. Dogs that are walked regularly, usually do their "business" regularly too.
As others have noted, it is possible that she has a blockage from eating something. This has potentially serious and sometimes fatal complications, which is why you should consult your vet, who can also give you dietary advice.

You can try plain canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)... maybe a tablespoon for a tiny dog to a third or a half of a cup for a large dog. A bit of beef liver might help, as well... no more than would be a medium sized bite for whatever sized dog it is. I would be a whole lot more concerned by WHY your dog is constipated. Have you changed foods to one that has more stool-firming crap like beet pulp or whatever? Is the dog drinking enough? Is it possible that he is getting large quantities of bone and eating it... the minerals in bone can constipate dogs... if you feed raw, no more than about 10 - 15% of the diet should be bone. At the very least, I would be changing this dogs diet, and if that doesn't help I would find a vet who could help.

She should be checked by the vet to find out if she has a blockage. A foreign object in her intestine or stomach can kill her.
If the vet says she's ok and she becomes prone to mild constipation then use canned pumpkin(plain) or add water or canned food. Some dogs do not do well on straight dry food. The cheaper foods have a lot of fillers in them.
Good luck and take it seriously.

Cheap canned food (lots of water and empty fillers) or canned pumpkin. As much of either as she will eat, up to a cup.
That's if you are sure it is *just* constipation; that she hasn't swallowed a sock or chunk of rawhide that could be causing a blockage, that sort of thing...
Raspberry tea always does it for me but I don't know what the effect would be on a dog...

i would call the vet. it could be constipation but it could also be that your dog ate something foreign, like a small toy or something that cant be digested. meat platic wraping paper is another one ive seen. these things dont always pass and can give your dog a blockage. this can be serious stuff so get to the vet asap and get this checked out.
good luck

Definately take her to the vet. I had the same problem with my dog, the vet recommended Castor Oil, its available at all supermarkets and is quite cheap. a tablespoon with some food and it should work very quickly. Castor Oil can also be used by humans for the same purpose!

Because the problem could be something unedible the dog ate, take the dog to the vet immediately. Our basset once ate one of my knee high socks and the vet said it could kill him.

Pumpkin... in a can. Not the pumpkin pie filling. I think just a tablespoon or two will do it.
