hi i am 36 going to be 37 in june . i am from india . although people here marry usually in arranged marriage i have always found it ludicrous . but on the other hand i have never found true long lasting love either . if a girl likes me i dont like her ; if both of us like each other there is some other hitch . kind of like a male ally mcbeal . am i alone or are there others like me out there too ?

Many people have troubles with love, mainly due to the fact that they have been alone long enough to adapt to the single life.
The trouble with this is you no longer have the same longing to be with someone that you would have normally that sort of forces you into loving.
I have worked that much out, how to rekindle the flame is a different story. I am guessing you just need to get back in the game :)

No, you are human, and completely normal. Here in the US, we no longer beleive in arranged married. Its a violation of our rights as a person. Perhaps you should attempt to bring a new era into your civilaztion, or customs, and let them know why. You are a person, and love is real, its just hard to find, but when you quit looking, it will be there right in front of your face! Love is blind, and friendship closes its eyes...best of luck
