You might search the website of the Rosicrucian Fellowship. They believe in reincarnation, and have a lot of material about it on their website. Some people who believe in reincarnation suggest that chidren still retain memories of past lives, and lose those memories as they age.

I have written a great deal about children and reincarnation. They come to the parents predestined to return to them.
They do switch places with us. Sometimes they are the parent and sometimes the child. However, they do not become the husband or wife. There is a clear pattern for the return of children.

Can you expand? Re-incarnation is a very broad subject and has many connections to children, both metaphorically and literally.
We are all like children in the cycle of re-incarnation, after all none of us have reached our divine potential.
